Book Groups

Novellas work beautifully for book groups: they are short enough to get through even on a harried week, yet long enough for readers to become immersed in the world of their stories; if a member can’t finish the entire book, they can still participate in the conversation about the novellas they have read; and a collection offers a variety of ways to discuss an author’s approaches to themes and style.

This is especially true of The New Valley, since it explores emotionally linked themes through voices and narrative techniques that vary dramatically.
